Produktbeskrivning Digital potentiometer - 2: Non-volatile, digital catalyst® potentiometers can be used instead of mechanical potentiometers that require a higher resolution for more precise adjustment or calibration. Incremental ascending/descending control is done via a simple digital three-wire interface. The wiping contact position is stored in a non-volatile NVRAM, so is not lost if the component is disconnected from the power supply. DPPs have numerous advantages compared to mechanical potentiometers: They do not suffer from wear and tear, they are more resistant to environmental effects, and they cand be configured more easily and quickly. They also take up less space as they are available in single, dual and quad versions. They also reduce EMI, since they do not need to be opened for mechanical configuration. DPPs are the ideal solution for automated or automatically calibrating systems and have a wide range of uses.
