The blades have a defined separation so that the outer sheath and the shielding braid can be cleanly removed in one step. This prevents damage to the cable due to inaccurate stripping. The adjusting screws allow the tool to be set to match all Fast Connect cables for fast stripping ready for connection. The outer sheath and copper shielding braid are removed in a single step, saving a lot of time.
